Tolkien Marathon
I spent all day yesterday watching Lord of the Rings with Melanie.  I should really read the books.  I read the Hobbit when I was 12, but never read the rest on Tolkien's books.  I think that will go next after Speaker for the Dead.  Wow I am really tired after spending tonight drinking a bunch of German beers with an old friend.  Time for bed!

I read the Hobbit around the same time, but it was only because I was stuck at the beach (was it raining?) with nothing else to do. So..uh, good luck :) Personally I think there are more readable books out there, but perhaps that's the lasting appeal..?

Oh whatevs. Hooray beer!

Speaking of Hooray Beer, there's this awesome place that is famous for great live music in Tampa, and they have free Red Stripe beer once a week on Reggae night. Hmm... maybe I will go to reggae night tonight!

Somehow my dad convinced me to read The Hobbit when I was 10-ish...I don't remember much about it, or even whether I enjoyed it that much. Yet I don't see myself reading it again anytime soon. ?? Meh.
